ICRI has joined hands with a leading university in Ahmedabad – Indus University.

Indus University (UGC Approved) is one of the leading universities in Gujarat. It aims to bring social changes with education, skill development, research and innovation. It provides diverse opportunities to students and faculties to improve their knowledge and skills to be successful in today's world.

Indus University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and research programs in diverse disciplines of Engineering, Architecture, Management, Aviation and Information Technology. These are well supported by 250 plus faculties from various disciplines. Indus has state-of-the-art infrastructure and resources to support learning, teaching, research and innovation.

Indus University established under the state government ordinance is UGC approved private university in the Western part of Ahmedabad is promoted and managed by Bhandari Charitable Trust, known for its philanthropic activities. It has seven constituent institutes; Indus Institute of Technology and Engineering (IITE), Institute of Design Environment and Architecture (IDEA), Institute of Aviation Technology and Engineering (IATE), Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT), Indus Institute of Management Studies (IIMS) and Indus Institute of Special Studies (IISS) and Indus Center for Research, Innovation and Skill Development (ICRISD). It is situated on a sprawling 16 acres’ campus and it is well connected with the city through different transportation modes.

Indus University, since its inception is entrusted to inculcate the importance of ethics and value amongst its students, staff, as well as its stakeholders. The Kumbh Mela Film Project

The aim of this project is to make a documentary film on Kumbh Mela through dharmic perspective. No film, so far, has tried to capture the central importance of Kumbh Mela in Sanatana Dharma and Indian society. The Kumbh Mela Film Project is an attempt to fill this gap. Book Release: Indra’s Net

IISS organizes lectures of eminent personalities on topics of current affairs and social relevance on a regular basis. In January 2014, it invited internationally acclaimed Indian-American author Shri Rajiv Malhotra for launch his latest scholarly work named Indra’s Net: Defending the Philosophical Unity of Hinduism. This book is essential for those who wish to learn more about the origins of Hinduism and its evolution over the years

International Conference on History of Indian Science & Technology (HIST)

From 9th to 11th October 2014, IISS took initiative in organizing 8th History of Indian Science and Technology (HIST) conference in collaboration with Infinity Foundation, NJ (USA). The aims of the conference was: i) to disseminate knowledge of HIST documentation by Infinity Foundation till date and ii) to engage in discussion on many areas of the Indian Traditional Knowledge System (ITKS) that are getting marginalized under the pressure of market culture, but still possess the potential for revival if those are oriented to meet the present-day needs of the people. The conference explored and discussed the historical, economic, environmental, functional and logistic aspects of HIST and ITKS and brought out the advantages vis-à-vis the modern ones keeping in view the overall long-term sustainability.

Book Release: The Battle of Sanskrit

IISS organized a Book Launch of the renowned scholar Shri Rajiv Malhotra’s new book The Battle of Sanskrit at H T Parekh Hall, AMA, Ahmedabad on 26th Jan’16, Tuesday. The event featured a talk and a brief reading from the book by the author followed by an interactive session with the invited participants.

Chinese Acrobatic Show at Indus University

The Department of Special Studies at Indus University in association with India China Economic & Cultural Council (ICEC) organized a gala event of “CHINESE ACROBATIC SHOW” to mark the 65th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China & India and to Celebrate Chinese New Year 2015. The event was co-hosted by China India Trade & Investment Centre. The chief guest at the event was IAS Shri Mukesh Puri, Principal Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Gujarat and the guest of honour was Mr Shen Hong, MD, Highly Electrical Appliances India Pvt. Ltd. accompanied by Dr Nagesh Bhandari, the President of Indus University.

Centre for Swadeshi Indology

In November 2015, IISS has established a centre, especially for Indic Studies to promote studies and research on various aspects of Indian Civilization. It will focus on multi-faceted and interconnected aspects of Indian Civilization shedding light on the sources of its unmatched unity and diversity.


Classrooms : Smart, spacious, well ventilated and IT enabled classrooms is the centre of attention. The multiple conference halls, seminar halls, meeting halls, auditorium, the amphi-theatre and the Open-Air theatre facilitate smooth conduct of all the events in the University.

Sports facilities: All recreational and fitness needs of the students are met on campus through state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor sports and games facilities.
