1. The student hereby specifically undertakes to accept and agrees to be bound by these terms & conditions as contained hereunder and all the other terms & conditions as detailed in the prospectus, application form, student handbook, rules & regulations of the ICRI (hereinafter referred to as the Institute), which have been read and understood by him by signing these terms & conditions.
2. The student has seen and read over the prospectus and the course content fully satisfied, however the Institute reserves the right to change, amend, add to, alter, vary, modify and/or delete the same at any stage of the course as it may deem proper and the student shall not have any claim, grievance and demand in this regard.
3. Any student in case of any violation or any indiscipline or due to rustication is unable to attend classes, will be asked to repeat the year and re register. This action can be taken by the head of campus. This action can be taken on grounds of indiscipline and poor academic attendance record.
4. That since the student has been duly registered with the Institute by signing of these terms & conditions and the Institute on account thereof has reserved a seat (or the student and will not allocate the said seat to any other student and will have to incur the fixed costs including the fixed costs like lease rental, faculty and administrative salaries and other fixed expenses which it will not be able to recover in case the student alter registration desires to withdraw/discontinue from the course for any reason whatsoever and as such the institution will suffer a loss in that regard and therefore the student will not be refunded any fees for any reason whatsoever.
5. All fees are subject to change without notice at the discretion of the management of the Institute, without assigning any reason whatsoever. Taxes levied by any government body will be additional over and above the fees charged.
6. In case the cheque is dishonored by the bank due to any cause, the defaulting student will be liable to pay a sum of Rs. 1,000 as processing charges along with a fine of Rs. 500/- per day as late fee from date of dishonor of cheque. In case a cheque is dishonored more than once, the student will be required to deposit balance due with late fees by Demand Draft.
7. Post Graduate Diploma programs in Clinical Research/Healthcare/Logistics/Aviation awarded by Institute of Clinical Research (India) /ILAM are not recognized by AICTE/UGC/any other State Act/Govt. of India/Govt. of any state of India.
8. BBA/BSc/BA/MBA/PhD/MSc programmes are awarded by the respective state universities only & is recognized by AICTE/UGC/any other State/central Act.
9. That the present course is being offered by the Institute on the basis of the present government policies (including Local/State/ Central Government), rules & regulations, notifications, etc., however in case of any change in the government policies, rules, regulations, notifications, any loss/damage due to closure or disruption of the activities of the Institute or the conducting of courses of the Institute caused by any industrial action, government action, fire, flood, riot, natural calamity, change of law & regulation force majeure, terrorist activity or for any other reason whatsoever beyond or not in the control of the Institute which disentitle the Institute from offering the said course, no amount of fee will be refundable, nor will the Institute or the personnel of the Institute be liable to pay, in anyway, any compensation to the student.
10. ln case of any adverse government policies on the course being offered, through Acts of parliament, state legislation, local government bodies of India and UK or any other body in the world which may lead to the effect the awarding of the degree, the institute is not responsible for any acts of god or vagaries of nature effecting the awarding of the degree and NO refund of any sort will be applicable in such instances. The jurisdiction of this agreement will be heard only in the court of law in the city of Delhi.
11. Ragging is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in all campuses of ICRI students will be subjected to the law as per dictate of the Supreme Court.
12. The Institute will not be responsible in anyway whatsoever for the performance of the student in any examination,’ interview/ job/extra curricular activities, etc. The Institute shall not be responsible for holding of any examination in case there is any delay and/or lapse on the part of the awarding body. The Institute is also not responsible in any way for ensuring job/internship/ placement of any nature whatsoever. Whilst the Institute cannot take responsibility of giving a job or placement to an student, the Institute will endeavor to organize interviews for students (who are desirous to have such interviews) and have duly qualified and passed all the necessary exams and have been awarded the certificate, diploma, etc., by the awarding body with prospective employers at appropriate time, However, recruitment of the candidate shall solely depend upon the performance of the candidate at such interviews and the Institute shall not be liable or responsible in this behalf in any manner whatsoever. The Institute does not take any responsibility of providing a minimum salary/stipend to the student either during an internship/job/placement of the candidate by the institute.
13. That the student has approached Institute for admission at Delhi/Mumbai/Bangalore/Dehradun/Ahmedabad/Jaipur (i.e. the place where he/she has agreed to be imparted education) and has made payment for undergoing the course at the said place and unless the said place is changed in terms of these terms & conditions will be imparted education at the said place. However, it has been mutually agreed upon between the student and Institute that the courts only at Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction to try and entertain the disputes between the parties.
14. That the Institute at present is operating from the venue, i.e. as mentioned in the prospectus and as per the terms of lease the same venue is likely to be continued during the entire course lot which the student has joined. However, the student shall not have any claim, right, interest to continue at the same venue throughout the currency of the course and Institute shall have the right to shift the venue to any other location without assigning any reason whatsoever to the student.
15. Provision of Supplementary Examination as per policy of ICRI in this behalf. For a supplementary Re – sit, if any, “I will have to pay the Re-sit fee, currently Rs. 1000/-, or as notified by the Institute. If I fail in the Supplementary re-test, I will not be given any further opportunity for Re-sit for the award and will accept the certificate of attendance from the Institute.” They will be allowed two Re-sits only and for each examination a charge of Rs.1000/- per paper will be levied.
16. All Cheques/Demand Drafts of BBA/BSc/BA/MBA/PhD/MSc have to be in favour of “Institute of Clinical Research India” or in the name of respective university. PG Diploma programs have to be in favour of “ICRI Research Pvt. Ltd.
17. Registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances and under no circumstances students are allowed to take any legal action against the institute. Any verbal promises/communication made for refund of registration fee will not be accepted. This is also applicable in case if the student drops out for any reason whatsoever and demands for a refund on the registration and balance fees paid.
18. Fees paid to the university is non refundable under any circumstances.
19. Fee once paid for tuition subsequent to commencement of classes is non – refundable under any circumstances.
20. Taxes once collected as per policy of the Govt. are non – refundable.
21. Any charges towards books/study material are non – refundable.
Code of Conduct and Regulation for ICRI Students
1. The student hereby specifically undertakes to accept and agrees to be bound by these terms & conditions as contained hereunder and all the other terms & conditions as detailed in the prospectus, application form, student handbook, rules & regulations of the ICRI (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) which have been read and understood by him by signing these terms & conditions.
2. The student is compulsorily required to attend a minimum of 75% of the lectures held at the Institute. Non-fulfillment of attendance criteria would prevent the student from appearing in the exams to be conducted for the course for which the student has taken admission. The student will be responsible for attending classes and maintaining discipline and decorum in and around the campus premises of the Institute and shall at all times be attired in a decent and respectable manner and conduct himself/herself in a proper and respectable manner while in or around the campus premises of the Institute. Non achievement of the attendance criteria will lead to the qualification not being awarded.
3. The institute reserves the right to rusticate the student/punish the student if there are any grounds of indiscipline/in case of dressing indiscipline/not meeting the attendance criteria/not meeting the academic criteria.
4.In case of the student not passing the subject/subjects dissertation/thesis concerned, in that case the rules of the university concerned will apply.
5. That in respect of the courses for which the Institute supplies Course Material and Books, etc., the student shall buy the same from the Institute only.
6. That the student at the time of registration has been handed over the due dates on which the fee falls due and in case of any delay in the payment of the fee by the student a late fee charge of Rs. 500/- per day will be levied on the student for a period up to 15 days and in case the fee along with the late fee is not deposited within such 15 days, the name of the student shall be struck-off from the rolls of the Institute and the student shall be debarred from attending classes. In case the student thereafter wishes to continue with the course with the Institute, he/she will be treated as a re-entry case and he/she will have to pay re-registration fee of Rs. 30,000/- along with Rs. 500/- towards processing charges besides the course fees as payable by the student.
7. In case of a break in the course for any reason whatsoever, students cannot discontinue the payment for the course. No breaks shall be allowed until and unless announced by the Institute in writing.
8. Inter-city and inter-centre transfers are only allowed in exceptional and justified cases. However a sum of Rs. 1,000/- (One Thousand Only) shall be charged as processing fee and the student shall have to pay the differential fee, if any.
9. The Institute reserves the right to charge fine for various misdemeanors on the part of the student, the amount for which shall be at the discretion of the Institute.
10. All course material electronic or otherwise is copyrighted and any publication other than for personal study/reading is an offence.
11. All disputes of any nature are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Delhi.
12. The student will arrange to purchase a personal laptop/suitable electronic device with a wi fi connectivity so that the student can access the electronic reading material/library and the student can submit assignments/projects etc. such a device is required for all students, in case the student does not possess it there will be a loss in learning/possible exams and the institute will not be responsible for that.
13. The students are not allowed use of cellphones/any other electronic device for purposes of personal use.
14. Students if found indulging in abusive language against teachers/each other/any other violent behaviour or inappropriately removing/damaging institute property will have to pay for the property and action including fine/rustication may be imposed on him. No fee will be refunded in cases of rustication.
